learn about autistic children …rather sad actually

7 Sep

Basically they are obsessed with round objects, string like things, their body  parts, stacking and lining things up and doing the same thing over and over again.

They might look cute to us at a young age but only their parents know the difficulty of raising them. Some of them dont talk till a later age. These children do not yearn their parents touch and attention like normal children, instead they are in their own world mostly.

no matter how, it is not very easy for them to lead normal lives…but who are we to say what is normal and what isnt right? Im studying about these disorders in a psyc module im taking so yea makes me think and wonder alot…oh well! Autism is caused by biological as well as psychological factors so it is not easy even if they do have intervention during childhood. They need to take medication, who knows for how long?

Hey Parv, Seems like you are having an interesting module =)
Well, for them early intervention really helps a lot. But still, the degree of autism plays a part. Some are really high functioning just that they have a slower pace of learning. Its amazing to see some of them able to do as well in main stream school. Do join me for an outing with these awesome kids if you are interested. You will learn a lot =)
